Decoding Dandruff
Dandruff is nothing but those dry, white flakes of skin you brush off your collar or shoulders which can get embarrassing and itchy. When these white flakes are in abundant it is called a dry dandruff, but when the white flakes turn yellowish because of the excessive moisture in the scalp they call it the moist dandruff. The moist dandruff is worse than the dry dandruff because it sticks like yellow scales on the scalp, it reduces the aeration of the scalp and makes it a breathing ground for bacteria and fungus.
Dandruff needs to be treated because if untreated it can be a major cause of discomfort, sensitive scalp as well as hair fall. Dandruff again is associated with fungal infection because on the scales lives a fungus which perpetuates the dandruff or the infection of the scalp.
